AI Quality Assurance

Granter is building an AI agent that handles grants end-to-end. The AI Grant Consultant helps companies discover funding opportunities, draft stronger proposals faster, and manage funded projects after approval.

Our mission is to enable businesses of all sizes to leverage incentives to grow and innovate. We are deeply involved in the Portuguese startup ecosystem and were the winners of the Web Summit Pitch Competition 2025.

This role goes beyond traditional QA because AI systems need to be evaluated, not only tested. You will validate features, review AI outputs, and spot subtle failure patterns in systems that behave probabilistically.

This is a strong fit for someone from QA, data, or another analytical background who wants to grow into AI quality.

This is a strategic area for us with clear room to grow into ownership and leadership, but it will require a lot of hands-on work and a strong willingness to go deep.

What This Role Involves

• You sit with the product team and are responsible for quality across the platform

• You work closely with engineering and operations, understanding both the technical perspective and how the product is used by customers

• You identify bugs and inconsistencies before they reach users

• You build QA processes and improve them over time

• You identify opportunities to automate repetitive or time-consuming QA work using tooling or AI

• You validate AI outputs and detect subtle failure patterns in systems that behave probabilistically, helping define quality standards and evaluation approaches for AI features

• You proactively review product behavior to detect recurring risks and improve overall product reliability

What We Are Looking For

We care more about evidence than years. You may come from QA, data science, or another analytical field through work, academic experience, or both.

Experience

• Experience in QA, data science, or a similarly analytical role

• OR Degree in Data Science or equivalent

  
  

Additional Plus

• Experience working in a startup environment

• Familiarity with LLM providers and model trade-off
