About the Collaboration

We are looking to collaborate with experienced funding consultants on a flexible, freelance basis. The collaboration is primarily focused on sharing and documenting practical funding expertise — helping us understand how different programmes work in practice, how eligibility and evaluation criteria are interpreted, what evaluators look for, and what distinguishes successful applications.

This is not a fixed or full-time position. Collaborations are organised according to specific projects and areas of expertise.

Areas of Expertise

We are interested in hearing from consultants with practical experience across different types of public funding and incentive programmes, including:

• European funding programmes

• National and regional grants

• Innovation and R&D incentives

• Internationalisation programmes

• Sustainability and energy transition funding

• Digitalisation programmes

• Tax incentives and tax credits

• Employment and training incentives

Experience can relate to Portugal, European Union programmes, or other European markets.

• Proven professional experience with one or more funding programmes or incentive schemes

• Direct involvement in preparing, reviewing, managing, or evaluating funding applications

• Strong understanding of eligibility requirements and evaluation criteria

• Practical knowledge based on real applications and funding decisions, rather than exclusively theoretical knowledge

• Ability to clearly communicate and structure your expertise
